President Maree Condon said the club was waiting on the outcome of a league meeting expected to be held on June 12.
The Bulldogs, along with Hampden league powerhouse Koroit, have asked members to hold back on training for the time being as they wait for more news.
"As you are aware, some group training has been given the go ahead but can I please ask everyone not to start organising any training yet," Condon wrote on the club's Facebook page.

"I have to make sure all guidelines are in place before this can go ahead.
"There will have to be a lot of co-operation between all coaches in regard of times and limits of people allowed.
"I will be in touch with (senior football coach) Chris (Bant) and (A grade netball leader) Josie (Ellerton) in the next few days once these issues have been addressed and then they can pass on any information to other coaches and players.
"Thank you everyone for your patience. We want to get this right for the future chances of starting the season."
Allansford, the Bulldogs' Warrnambool and District league rivals, returned to training on Tuesday night.
The league's 2020 season was put on hold before round one, which was expected to start on March 28.
