A NARROW victory from Santelmo Fuego ensured Symon Wilde collected a victory on both days of the 2020 May Racing Carnival.

The four-year-old gelding, with decorated Horsham hoop Dean Yendall on board, triumphed in the Magic Millions National Sale Benchmark 70 Handicap over 1200 metres.
He edged out the Patrick Payne-trained Street Tough by a head with Queen La Diva back in third. Stablemate Forbid Me Not rounded out the top four.
"They both (Forbid Me Not and Santelmo Fuego) ran very well," Wilde said.
"We didn't see (foresee) them that far back in the run. I think good speed in the race probably suited them.

"Santelmo Fuego had an uninterrupted run but unfortunately the other horse had a few traffic problems. They ran very well."
Santelmo Fuego's win comes after imported jumper Georgethefifth secured the Wilde family stable celebrated their 30th combined victory at the annual carnival on day one on Tuesday.
"As everyone knows, we do target the May Carnival," Wilde said.
"We've had to change a few plans with some horses but it's always good to win here at Warrnambool. Winter racing, it's about getting the job done. We're very pleased."
Yendall said he had high hopes before the race.
"He trialed well. I expected a little bit today. Great performance and great to get a winner for Symon," he said.
