Big Lies Protest: Extinction Rebellion South West are holding a 'lie-in' in Liebig Street to protest climate change denialism in the media. They will meet at the Civic Green in Liebig Street in Warrnambool at 4pm Friday before moving to a nearby CBD location for the lie-in.

Sesame Street Circus Spectacular Warrnambool: Sesame Street Circus Spectacular is coming to Warrnambool! The 90-minute spectacular will be all your favourite Sesame Street characters, including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Bert and Ernie, Super Grover and Big Bird. In addition to the Sesame Street characters, the circus will feature performers from Switzerland, Argentina, Colombia, Morocco, Brazil, Ethiopia and Australia. Starting March 13 from 6.30pm to 9pm, various shows will be running until March 22.

Tracks Festival: Bring your deck chair or picnic rug and settle in for an evening of live music at the old railway precinct in Timboon. Featuring Flynn Gurry (3.15-4.15 pm), GinJan (4:30-5:30 pm) The Settlement (5:45 pm-6:45 pm) and Claymore (7-8 pm). Food and beverage vans, plus entertainment for the kids.
City's shiny new school offers public tours: Warrnambool's Special Developmental School will offer a look at its state-of-the-art facilities to thank community donors who helped the new school receive finishing touches. The school is offering visitors a tour at the new facilities on Saturday between 10am and midday.
WSLSC International Womens Day: Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club is hosting an International Women's Day (IWD) breakfast March 14 from 10am to 12pm (9.45am arrival).Guest speaker is psychologist and author Dr Jodie Fleming. Western nominees for the annual LSV IWD award will be presented.
The Great Global Nurdle Hunt Shelly Beach: Meet at the west end of Thunder Point carpark to walk out to Shelly Beach on Saturday at 10am and collect marine debris with like-minded people and help protect local wildlife from discarded plastics. Organisers have bags, jars and gloves, but advise wearing sturdy footwear and sun-proof/cold-proof, weatherproof clothing.

Dennington Dash 2020: 2.5km run or walk 5km run at 6pm at St John's Parish Primary School on Saturday. $5 entry and prizes up for grabs.
South West Cricket Grand Final: South West Cricket Grand Final, Pomborneit plays Camperdown at The Lakes Recreation Reserve, Camperdown.
Pennant grand final: Warrnambool Gold will play Timboon Gold at the Warrnambool Bowls Club for the pennant title on Saturday at 1pm.
Grassmere Cricket Association Grand Final: A grade: Panmure plays Hawkesdale, B grade: Panmure plays Grassmere at Purnim Recreation Reserve.
Sunday
Messy fun at Flagstaff Hill: Children will be able to let their imaginations run wild at the annual Messy Play Day. The Sunday event at Flagstaff Hill is the major fundraiser for the Warrnambool Toy Library.
Expo and open day: Emmanuel College's Expo and Open Day will be held on March 15. Begin at the Emmanuel Centre in Botanic Road. Doors open at 1pm with last tours departing at 3pm.
Macarthur Historical Society: Macarthur & District Historical Society is holding a dedication of an Historical Marker to mark the deaths of five members of the Sparrow family who perished on March 17, 1946 in the Great Flood of 1946. Commences at the RSL Clubrooms on Sunday at 1pm then travels to the site of the marker.
