The club has recruited a key forward and a full-back to complement other key-position players including former coach and ruckman Marcus Hickey.
Hampden league young gun, Tomas Lindquist (Cobden), has returned to the club where he played some of his juniors.
"I used to play junior footy there and I always had in my mind that I was going to go back there," he said.
Lindquist, who valued his time at Cobden, said he rediscovered his passion for footy last season.
The 19-year-old had a standout year, playing 16 matches and kicking 22 goals.
He said friendships and location drew him back to the Dees.
"A few of my mates play there and it's just easier," he said.
The youngster, who lives on a family farm at Timboon, said he was looking forward to taking on a key-forward role at the Demons.
"It'll be good, it's where I played mostly at Cobden," he said.
Lindquist added there was a great atmosphere at the club under new playing-coach David Johnston.
"It definitely looks like the team is moving up," he said.
Ashley Rosolin (Cobden) and Sam Newey (Simpson) have also returned to the Demons.

Rosolin, who played eight senior matches for the Bombers in 2019, will run in the midfield and across half-forward for the Dees.
"He'll bring good experience and a stronger body," Johnston said.
Newey, the brother of 2019-captain Ben Newey, will slot in at full-back.
Jack Osborne, from the Geelong and District Football League, also intends to return to the Demons this year but his clearance is still pending.
He's a midfielder/half-forward.
Johnston said there had been a focus on getting Timboon locals back to the club.
