Batman, Ironman, Woody and Duke Caboom were all part of the action with children and adults dressing up as popular heroes and Disney characters for the Wood Wine and Roses festival street parade.
Festival president Ross Barclay said the street parade had been excellent and the community was gearing up for more entertainment on Saturday night.
He said there would be live bands till 11pm, five circus performances, the motocross, the wood chopping event and hundreds of market stalls.
"It's just non stop entertainment for the whole day and night," he said.
