Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, marks the start of Lent for Christians, but is used by the church as a fundraiser for its social welfare programs.
Uniting Church member Barrie Baker said the day was also a good chance to share a meal with the wider community.
"This is one of our few opportunities to reach out to the community as a social event," Mr Baker said.
Pancake Day coordinator Margaret McCosh thanked the volunteers who made the event so successful.
"We have mixed up ten kilograms of dry pancake mix which allows us to make hundreds of pancakes," she said.
"The key to making a good pancake is getting the consistency of the mix right, getting the temperature of the pan right and not using too much butter.
"We only had one or two bad pancakes, the volunteers are almost professional pancake makers now."
