Seam bowlers Hank Schlaghecke, Tyler Fowler, Jimmy Elford, Matt Petherick, Jason Perera and debutant Xavier Beks could all be tossed the new ball as Butters masterminds a climb back to the provincial grade.
The squad features three spin options - Joe Kenna, Alex Jennings and Butters himself - while Jake Hetherington is a medium-pace choice.
"Most of the quickies are different types of bowlers," Butters said.
We've sort of been there and won the twos down there before. We know we can do it.

"You look at those guys and then there's even a Chook (Jake) Hetherington who is a left-armer.
"I think we have most bases covered."
The Standard understands up to 11 players could bowl at the week-long tournament.
Butters, who took on the captaincy after it was relinquished by Nathan Murphy, said Warrnambool was well-placed to make a mark.
"We've sort of been there and won the twos down there before. We know we can do it," he said.
"A fair core of the group we have now was part of that so hopefully that helps. We'll definitely go in confident, but not too confident."
Not much will change in Butters' second year as skipper.
"I don't think there's a huge amount of difference (in how I'll captain)," he said.
'Last year was one of those things. I don't think we played much, if any bad cricket but things didn't fall our way.
"It helps to get to know the guys a bit more. I think it's a pretty good squad overall.
"Training has been really enjoyable. We've been mucking around, having a bit of fun and hanging some s--t on each other.
"That's one of the biggest things down there - gelling as a team. That's pretty important."
He said each of the four debut players - Beks, Kenna, Hetherington and wicketkeeper Ross Levett - earned their spot.
"Beksy has been around for a while and that's the same with Joe Kenna," Butters said.
"I'm sure they'll play their roles well."
Warrnambool is set for contests against Warragul, Shepparton, Latrobe Valley and Bairnsdale. The week kicks off on February 17.
