Veronica Kelly and Melissa Roberts hadn't played bowls together for years but they teamed up to win this week's $12,000 Ladies Prestige Pairs at Warrnambool Bowls Club.
"I couldn't be happier, we're the best of friends," Roberts said.
"I miss her so much because I came back from Queensland and she had moved and I love her to death.
"And I couldn't have wanted to win it with anybody else.
"It just makes it so much more special because we just love each other so much."

Kelly plays Saturday and midweek pennant with City of Geelong Bowls Club and Roberts does the same with Moama Bowling Club.
They both used to live in Echua-Moama and bowled together.
Roberts moved to Queensland and they hadn't joined forces for five years until this week.
But they didn't take long to get back to their best.
"It was like it had been years ago," Kelly said.
The successful pair took home a $5000 prize after going through the three-day tournament undefeated.
Teams played six games of 14 ends.
Engadine's (NSW) Samantha and Natalie Noronha took the second prize of $2400.
Bordertown's (SA) Heather Richards and Dianne Murch were third and took home $1200.
There were 32 teams from across Australia in the tournament.
