Mr Evans is project manager at Maton Guitars and over the last six days has been a guitar tutor at the Lake School of Celtic Music Song and Dance in Koroit.
"It is a great week of immersion in Celtic music," Mr Evans said.
"The thing I love about the school is it embraces all levels of skills, there is a lot of mutual support."
Mr Evans has also spent the week playing his fiddle at the nightly sessions that take place in Koroit during the Lake School.
The Lake School ran from January 2-7 and included 250 students.
At their Monday night concert, the school's students presented the Koroit CFA with $2100 for the bushfire appeal.
