Robert Burns Scottish Festival chairperson John Menzies OAM said that the committee were now busy planning the 2020 festival program after crowds flocked to the 2019 event.
"The 2019 festival was a great success with an increased patronage," he said.
"The popular schools program is returning and visits to local schools that will include an art, poetry and story writing competition.
"The committee have made the decision that festival performances for children under the age of 18 will be free and will continue that policy for 2020. It is our way of offering opportunities to families to come along and experience cultural events together."
The festival starts June 27 with the Victorian Piping Association contest and will run through to July 5 with a weekend packed with performances, lecture series', dancing, piping, markets, street entertainment, golf, whisky tasting, poetry and more.
It comes after a tough year for community events, with Terang's beloved Country Music Festival folding and volunteer groups struggling to coordinate the expenses that come with pulling off an event.

Mr Menzies said early bird tickets will be available this month.
"This year celebrates the Year Of Scotland Australia 2020 which will be the largest ever Scottish Music Showcase in this country. Camperdown has been included with the renowned band Capercaillie performing at the historic Theatre Royal on May 15 as part of their National Tour," he said.
"Camperdown has an important role in the Scottish settlement of Australia and especially being the home of the oldest statue of Robert Burns in the world.
"The festival promises to deliver an affordable and all ages event that celebrates our district, our early settlers and their contribution and connection with the Traditional People before white settlement and our appreciation of our cultural heritage."
