The club plans to conduct a number of upgrades in the next few years and the shelters are part of the first phase.
Vice-president Shane Gedye said it was important to keep the complex up to standard.
"We've got a big tournament the day after Boxing Day, a lot of people coming from out of town," he said.
"So it's good for them to turn up every year and see that we're moving forward with the complex.
"That we're not going backwards, that we're pushing forward and we're providing a good place for them to come and play tennis."

The club is setting up shades by numerous courts including its show courts.
President Kim Tobin said the upgrade also went beyond that.
"We're also going to provide shade in the social area so that'll be very welcome," she said.
Tobin said that would be useful for spectators and also players after their matches.
"It'll be a comfortable space for them to rest and recuperate," she said.
Gedye said the club was keen to grow the sport in the south-west.
"Tennis is probably a bit of a forgotten sport in some respects around here," he said.
"Football and netball seem to get a lot of the attention in the area here.
"So for us to provide something for some of the juniors and senior players around here, with shelters and upgrades, is great."
