Santa will be on hand to pass out icy-poles as the cheer gets going on Friday at the Christmas-on-Apex community party.
Organiser Kelvin White said the night was a way for Cobden businesses to thank the community for their patronage.
"All of the activities and rides are free thanks to the support of the businesses," he said
"The Big Monster draw is the main attraction, all of the businesses are supportive of the draw and provide lots of vouchers.
"The first prize winner needs to be at the event to claim the prize."
Community members will get to sing along when the Carols by Candlelight round out the celebrations on Sunday night.
Quota International of Cobden organiser Fran Warden said one of the night's highlights would be the debut performance of Madidi and Matea McKenzie alongside a long list of guest artists.
"The two girls are part of the very talented McKenzie family, this will be their first time performing at the carols," she said.
Mrs Warden said battery-operated candles would be available for purchase but no lit-candles were allowed in the Civic Hall.
Christmas-on-Apex runs in the Victoria Street park from 5.30pm on Friday. Carols by Candlelight starts at 7.30pm in Cobden's Civic Hall on Sunday.
