Anita Hoekstra, who is playing with Bernie Opperman, David Long and Gavin Franklin, said she had unfinished business with the piece after performing it in Warrnambool 12 years ago.
"This is the second time we are performing this in Warrnambool, last time was the first performance of Canto in Australia," she said.
"When we performed it then we had three grand pianos but I always wanted to play it with four.
"We will have one grand piano and three portable digital pianos for the show.
"It is a minimalistic piece with not many obvious changes, for the audience it can sound like you are playing the same bit for a while but there are changes.
"My husband sometimes says 'it's great music but I can leave the room and when I come back I haven't missed anything'."
Mrs Hoekstra said the group would play about 25 minutes of 'Canto Ostinato' rather than the potential two-hour version.
Each of the four pianists will also play a solo piece coming from their different musical backgrounds.
"Gavin will play something from a jazz perspective, Bernie will play trumpet with piano accompaniment, and David will play flute with piano accompaniment," she said.
"We are lucky to have a benefactor in town who is lending us a grand piano and a minister at the Anglican Church who is so accommodating to musical performances.
"Now we have a beautiful grand piano in a church with probably the best acoustics in the whole of Warrnambool.
"It will be an absolute delight to perform in the church."
The performance will start at 4pm and run for about one hour. Admission is free.
