The Renegades fell agonisingly short of a grand final berth in WBBL|04 following a dramatic super over defeat to the Sydney Sixers.
It was the side's first taste of finals action after finishing eighth, seventh and sixth in their first three seasons.
Mortlake's Wareham said the Renegades needed to use momentum to defeat defending champions Brisbane Heat at their home at Allan Border Field on Saturday in order to progress to Sunday's decider.
"We have won the last couple and we have some momentum going into the finals," the 20-year-old said.
"The win against Brisbane a couple of games ago gives us a bit of confidence going into it but at the same time finals is a completely different game and we really have to be switched on for this weekend."

The Renegades pulled off a stunning six-wicket win with an over to spare the last time the two teams met and Wareham said the side's depth could help tackle another possible tight finish.
"There are a number of players who have put their hands up over the season," she said.
"We been on the wrong side of those games before but we have also had a couple go our way this year and it's really exciting to know that anyone can put their hand up on the day."
Wareham said the side had been building slowly together over the past five seasons and this year it had the belief it could do better.
"It (playing finals again) speaks volumes for the core group we have at the moment," she said.
"We have got that belief in the group at the moment that we can go one step further and hopefully win it."
