The first of Warrnambool's three Christmas Markets will kick off this Sunday at the Civic Green, and manager Kerry Lee said they would be the biggest yet.
"We've got three Christmas markets a fortnight apart, starting this Sunday," Ms Lee said.
"We've got around 45-50 stalls and there will be live music, great food and rugs for people to sit and listen to music and enjoy a meal.
"The whole thing creates an opportunity for so many small, home-based businesses which is just amazing."
The Christmas Markets will run November 24, December 8 and December 22.
The city's heralded Night Markets will be held each Friday night starting on December 27 through to the end of January at Lake Pertobe, with a renewed focus on sustainability.
"At the night markets this year we're working towards reducing waste, particularly single-use plastics, which is a big change and a lot of work for us," Ms Lee said.
"The council is well and truly on board and we've encouraged all stall holders to use compostable products, such as cardboard and no plastic straws - anything to get rid of plastic and polystyrene from bins.
"The waste is pretty high at markets, so if we can get stall holders on board that would be great. We'll also have the proper waste, recyclables and compostables bins exactly like the FOGO bins to really try and drive the point home."
Each Friday night there will be a youth stage coordinated with Warrnambool City Council to give emerging performers the opportunity step into the spotlight in a relaxed environment.
The Sunday Undercover Market will run every Sunday at the Warrnambool Showgrounds.
New manager Darryl Scott said the markets had undergone a transformation since he took over in July this year.
"It's been really good, we've changed a lot of things around and cleaned the place up," he said.
"We're open every Sunday from 8am to 1pm with around 60 stalls. There are buskers, food vans, fresh flowers, jewellery and leather - something for everyone.
"There's plenty of free parking and free entry of course."
The Undercover Market will also be open from 8am to 4pm on November 30 in conjunction with the Light Horse Championship and the Warrnambool Gift.
The Fresh Market Warrnambool will continue to be held the first and third Sunday of the month year round at Lake Pertobe.
Summer markets will be held every Sunday in January.
