More then 10,000 people filed through the gates for the popular Dunkeld race meeting on Saturday, according to club president Edward Blackwell.

The once-a-year meeting run at the foot of the Grampians lived up to its reputation as one of the gems in the Australian racing crown.
"It was a marvelous day," Blackwell said.
"The crowd was well behaved and the meeting went off without a hitch.
"I suppose our only problem was it got a bit chilly later in the day but apart from that everything went well.
"The crowd was down on last year's record but we're really happy with having 10,000.
"It was wonderful to see so many families at the meeting.
"The fashions-on-the-field competition was a hotly contested event."
Blackwell, who has been president for the last eight years, said the club was already making plans for next year's race day.
"We've got a few infrastructure things which we are considering to improve and one of those is the toilet facilities," he said.
"We're always looking at ways to improve things."
He said the event was a great fund raiser for many local community groups in Dunkeld and the surrounding area.
Pre-selling over 4500 tickets, the day was jam-packed with people enjoying their marquees, musical entertainment and, of course, all the horse racing action.
Fashions on the Field saw ladies wearing an array of colours with a surprising favourite being white.
This season's trends of two-piece suits instead of dresses were popular and many chose bright green, red and orange styles.
Fascinators and slim hats were another popular choice over broad-brim hats and many men donned a fedora or a more casual choice of a cap.
