The 25-year-old will bring his tribute to Sir Elton John to the Lighthouse Theatre stage on Saturday.
"On my last tour we ended up doing about 54 shows, it was huge," he said.
"I did two songs from the Elton John catalogue and the audience just loved them.
"That's the beauty of a tune written so well, you can form that in your own way and people still love it.
"That's what really spurred on this tour."
The crooner grew up listening to Elton John and applied for the reality singing contest when he finished school.
"The whole reason I wanted to do The Voice was to get experience and to get that foot in the door for the industry," he said.
"I was straight out of Year 12 and doing as much as I could to involve music in my everyday life.
"I was performing at cafes, venues, carols events which was a great way to take my real-world experience and transform it into what was to become my time on The Voice.
"To come off the back of that to now, with three albums, five tours around Australia and now a children's book; it's been a blast."
For the best part of a decade, Craig has been busy. Sold out tours, ARIA chart hits, a show in Las Vegas, a children's book and a platinum selling album, the singer dived head first into the music industry after taking out The Voice.
"The music industry is a great world to be involved in," he said.
"It's got many different skills that you need to have, develop and grow.
"I'm not going to pretend I have everything but that's why you build a team and build one that really believes in what you're here to do.
"At my heart I'm a crooner and I really love that style.
"It's all about meaning behind the songs and what it means to write that song and talk about what it means to you. I want to be able to share parts of my life through my music."
'Harrison Craig sings Elton John Love Songs - The Piano Sessions' is all about Craig connecting with his audience through Elton John's well-loved songs.
"I want people to leave this show and re-live the moments they had with these songs all those years ago or more recently," he said.
"We explore what these songs are talking about, what drove them to write a song like that, why it came out when it did and what it meant to the artist who wrote them.
"I try to bring that to the show and say to people, 'let's explore this together, let's keep this really raw and intimidate and explore what it means to listen to these incredible tunes'."
Harrison Craig sings Elton John Love Songs begins at 8pm on November 16 and tickets are on sale through the Lighthouse Theatre website.
