Past and present members of the Port Fairy Community House gathered to mark 30 years since the facility began operation.
Port Fairy Community House coordinator Pam McGoldrick said the celebrations were enjoyed by all.
"It was a lovely day, we had speakers from the very first meeting that formed the community house so we have had a lot of people who have been involved in the whole 30 years," Mrs McGoldrick said.
"The house started with people wanting some childcare, but the ideas that grew from that have helped shape the house and the town.
"It's a great place for people to come and be able to socialise, it's a central hub.
"We get a lot of people call in who have just moved to town and looking to see where they can volunteer or they are wanting to find out what's on."
Mrs McGoldrick said the markets at Railway Place ran by community house are booming, while the number of adult education classes provided by the house remains high.
"The markets add an extra layer to the house, it is very social, people come down Saturday morning and stand around having a chat," she said.
"With the classes, we still get a lot of requests and we try and meet the demand."
