Walter Adams was last seen at his home on the Strathewen property, about 45 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, at 10pm on Sunday.
It's believed he may have set out to tend to a calf before failing to return.
Local police and other emergency services officers began searching his family's Beale Avenue property on Monday.
Victoria Police said in a tweet published about 1am on Wednesday Walter has been found "safe and well after returning home".
