Ryder, who was traded from Port Adelaide to Moorabbin along with teammateDougal Howard on Tuesday, said he was keen to work with the young Saint on AFL Trade Radio on Wednesday.
"There's a lot of work that goes into being a good ruckman. Hopefully I can teach Rowan a few of my tricks and in 2-3 years he'll be primed to hold down that ruck position," he said.
"I'm certainly not coming to the club to take time away from Rowan. He's going to be an awesome ruckman. We can both play as a key forward.
"I think it's going to be a really good partnership and I'm really looking forward to it."
