CFA members will be at the Raglan Parade hardware store on Saturday between 10am and 2pm, offering tailored advice on the best ways to prepare properties before the fire season starts.
A flyer with valuable information will also be available in store during the week.
Warrnambool CFA station officer Troy Cleverley said it was important for properties to be prepared ahead of the fire season - particularly for rural and remote homes.
"CFA can't always guarantee a truck in any situation and we saw that on major events like Black Saturday," he said.
"The more ownership people can take over their own property protection, the better it is for them and the better it for us.
"Things like cleaning up, keeping the grass down and not having flammable materials stacked around the house, are all important parts of preparing your property."
Mr Cleverley said fireys would be on hand on Saturday to offer further advice and guidance.
"And I'm sure everyone will enjoy a Bunnings' snag," he said.
