Treasurer Peter Daly, who helped Koroit score an eight-shot men's triples championship triumph over Warrnambool on Sunday, believes his club can take the next step this season.
Daly, who suited up alongside Scott Boschen and Brian 'Blackie' Lenehan, said the triples victory boosted confidence ahead of the pennant season.
We're one of the smaller clubs and it's always pleasing to win against one of the powerhouse clubs.

"We're one of the smaller clubs and it's always pleasing to win against one of the powerhouse clubs," he said.
"They're great clubs and deserve everything they achieve.
"Our players are getting more and more games under their belt. We've fallen on the last hurdle a few times now and we just need to keep our heads up and keep battling."
Daly said he, Boschen and Lenehan spread the load en route to their triples championship victory.
"I hadn't touched a bowl for months really. It was good to have two days of bowls leading into the season," he said.
"It wasn't that we weren't expecting to bowl well but as a trio we played well over the two days.
"It was the consistency over the six games that was pleasing. It was great for Koroit as a club."

Daly said Koroit would embrace new rules which mean division one would have just 12 players instead of 16.
Boschen told The Standard he expected Koroit to be among the top three in the division.
"We haven't lost too many players so we're certainly just as strong as we've been," he said.
"We'll be among the top two or three hopefully."
