The Koroit Light the Night event will be held from 6.30pm to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation.
The event was held in Koroit for the first time last year and the Koroit Irish Festival committee will run it again after a successful debut.
The night will include a sausage sizzle and entertainment, with a performance from piper Merran Moir a feature.
Members of the public can purchase lanterns on the night or pre-order them online at https://lightthenight.org.au/events/koroit.
A walk along the rail trail with the lanterns will take place at dusk.
