An estimated 5500 cyclists will call Port Fairy home for two nights in late November.
The seaside village has been included on the Great Victoria Bike Ride route for 2019.
Port Fairy was last part of the ride route in 2013.
The 2019 ride will begin in Robe, South Australia, on November 22, before finishing in Torquay on December 1.
There will be an overnight stopover in Port Fairy on November 26, after riders have covered the 85kms from Portland.
Port Fairy will get two bites of the cherry, with riders to spend a rest day and night in Port Fairy on November 27.
Other towns on the route include Millicent, Mount Gambier, Peterborough, Beech Forest and Deans Marsh.
While in Port Fairy, riders will stay for free, through a Moyne Shire Council offer of the use of the overflow area of Southcombe Park free of charge. Ride organisers will provide their own amenities for riders.
Moyne Shire Council Acting Director, Economic Development and Planning, Adam Boyle said council welcomed the ride.
"The stopover includes the only rest day of the 652km ride, providing great opportunities for our local community groups and businesses to get involved," Mr Boyle said.
"Council has provided the overflow area of Southcombe Caravan Park for the ride's self-sufficient camping ground.
"This area is a public space that otherwise wouldn't be used at that time of year.
"Southcombe Caravan Park will continue to operate as normal."
The ride's duration is 10 days, but there are also two five-day ride options available. These shorter, alternative rides both include Port Fairy on their routes.
Port Fairy is the last town on the first of those rides and the first town on the other ride option.
