South Warrnambool's under 18.5 mentor delivered his second junior premiership in as many seasons on Saturday, adding another trophy to the Friendly Societies Park coffers.
Niddrie's side pulled off a thrilling come-from-behind win, shooting 5.6 (36) to Portland's 4.7 (31).
Niddrie, who was handed the reins mid-way through last season, paid homage to the Roosters' junior program.
"It's phenomenal. I've come through the program itself so to be able to give back to that is really something special," he said.
"To be so successful all the way through with the all under 14, under 16 and under 18 flags is great.
"We love developing the juniors and you see them pushing through to our seniors at the moment.
"South has always been a great junior club and we want to keep that going."
South Warrnambool trailed early as Portland flexed its muscle but capitalised on a strong final term to secure the premiership.
