Talented netballers from the Moyne Shire will make their way to the state capital to take on Victoria's best.
Students from St Patrick's Koroit and Woolsthorpe primary schools will play in the state netball championships in Melbourne on Friday.
St Patrick's will send a grade 4/5/6 girls' team to the championships.
The team made it through to the championships having successfully competed at the Moyne, divisional and regional levels.
Coached by Helen Swarbrick, the team will play three pool games.
If results go its way, the team could then advance to the semi-final stage.
The Woolsthorpe team is a grade 4/5/6 mixed outfit.
Woolsthorpe coach Laura Cumming said the team would create history.
"This is the first team from Woolsthorpe to make the state championships so it is very exciting," Ms Cumming said.
"It will be an amazing experience for our players.
"This team works really well together on the court.
"It will be exciting to see them play in Melbourne against the best teams from across Victoria."
The championships will be held at the Waverley Netball Centre.
