But the mother-of-five says a Warrnambool and District league premiership on Saturday will make the regular hour-long drives worth it.
Anders, 36, works at Emma House in Warrnambool which splits up her twice weekly trips to Nirranda for training.
Her job assisting victims of domestic violence can be stressful and netball provides a release.
"You've got to keep your focus - you're supporting vulnerable women and children," she said of her profession.
"This is their lives and they live this everyday and we just get a snapshot of it."
The experienced goal keeper has five children of her own - Olivia Anders, 17, Teneale Anders, 15, Liam Anders, 13, Charli Vangeninden, 3, and Connor Vangeninden, almost 2.
Olivia plays 17 and under netball and Liam, who is aligned to Terang Mortlake, "lives and breathes football".
"Teneale thinks netball is boring," Anders said of her middle child.

All five kids, plus partner Will Vangeninden, are anticipated to be court-side on Saturday as Anders and the Blues attempt to win back-to-back A grade flags.
Anders said she had more nerves the second time around.
"I am not sure what it's about, it could be the added pressure that we won last year," she said.
"I think it's hard to win any grand final, let alone two in a row."
Anders rated her own form "up and down", conceding she was an over-thinker.
"I've had a patch where I get inside my head and think too much about what I am doing," she said.
But Anders is confident she can combine well with first-year Blue Cloe Marr in the back court against Merrivale at Reid Oval.
"I love to play body-on-body and (coach) Steph (Townsend) has worked hard with me to change things up," she said.
"Cloe is a ball hunter so we're different but we complement each other."
