To celebrate the school's Arts Week to the theme of 'Under the African Sky' each class room decorated their window with black paper and tissue paper and left classroom lights on so the school glowed throughout the night.
Arts coordinator Kathy McMeel was thrilled with the result of the evening.
"We hold Arts Week every two years and every class is involved in a range of activities throughout the week," she said.
"This year we created the African-themed stain-glass windows and tonight families are invited along and they are set a QR code to lead them to a quiz which interacts with the displays.
"Over 500 students from Prep to Year 6 and 50 teachers worked to create the 26 different windows.
"We weren't sure if if would work, but it has and looks great."
Students and their families packed into the school on Wednesday night walk through the night-time displays and complete the online quiz.
Throughout Arts Week 2019 students got the chance to work with African drummers, listen to local Sudanese people and take part in St Joseph's Got Talent among other events before the week culminates in a final all-school assembly on Friday.
