SOUTH Warrnambool returned to form with an upset win over arch rival Warrnambool on Saturday which all but sealed its 2019 Hampden league finals berth.
The Roosters are now a game and percentage clear of sixth-placed Hamilton Kangaroos with one round to play.
Sam Thompson kicked five goals in the Roosters' 15.6 (96) to 10.9 (69) victory at Friendly Societies' Park.
Reigning premier Koroit showed it is still a force with a 47-point win over Port Fairy at Victoria Park and Portland celebrated just its third victory of the season, beating Camperdown by 36 points.
Terang Mortlake defeated Cobden by 60 points and North Warrnambool Eagles had 14 goal-kickers in its 83-point drubbing of Hamilton Kangaroos.
In the netball, Camperdown secured the final spot in the top-five with a win over Portland.
Its nearest rivals, Terang Mortlake and South Warrnambool, both suffered losses.
