A murder investigation in Portland has led to three people being charged with drug offences.

Detective Sergeant Jason von Tunk, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said the trio were found with drugs during murder investigation inquiries last week.
Cameron Oakley, 25, of Portland, was charged with the murder after the fatal stabbing of 24-year-old man Lachlan Hutchins in Portland during the early hours of Tuesday morning, August 6.
"During the course of the investigation three people were found with drugs," Detective Sergeant von Tunk said.
"A 49-year-old Portland man from Pile Court was found with 500 grams of cannabis.
"He was arrested, interviewed, charged with possession and trafficking cannabis and bailed to appear in the Portland Magistrates Court on October 15."
The cannabis has a street value of more than $3000.
A 56-year-old man from Pile Court was also caught with two grams of heroin.
He was arrested, interviewed, charged and bailed to appear in court on the same date.
On Thursday this week a 46-year-old woman from Portland's Mitchell Crescent was charged with possessing two grams of ice and a small amount of cannabis.
She was also charged and bailed to appear in court.
