Luke Bosworth, 28, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Tuesday to failing to appear in court and breaching an intervention order.

He was arrested at a Camperdown hotel about 3.30pm on Monday after he failed to appear in court earlier that day and a magistrate issued a warrant for his arrest.

Lawyer Matthew Pitkin said his client was unwell and had called in sick to the court on Monday morning.

He said Bosworth was cooperative with police during his arrest.

Mr Pitkin said his client had breached an intervention order by attending a Camperdown address on two occasions.

He said the mother of the affected family members had invited him into the home.

Magistrate Mark Stratmann said whether or not the man was invited was irrelevant.

"There is a court order you must not do certain things. You should have been aware. This is unimpressive behaviour," he said.

Bosworth was fined $2000 and sentenced to the one day already served in custody.

On August 5 Bosworth attended a Camperdown address about 8pm despite being prohibited from remaining within 50 metres of the property.

He jumped the back fence and attempted to enter the back door of the property but was told to leave, which he did.

Then at 8.20am the next day, he entered the backyard of the property and spoke to a woman through a window.

The victim recorded him at the property and the incident was reported to police.

Bosworth was arrested, interviewed, charged and bailed to appear in court on Monday. After failing to appear, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
