Some injuries came at the worst of times.
Port Fairy goal shooter Chelsea McMahon won't be able to help her team push for finals after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament on the weekend.
It's a huge loss but the Seagulls will bring in an experienced shooter to help them try and fly passed three other teams for the elusive fifth-spot.
Find out who that shooter is in Monique Patterson's story below.
Meanwhile, some Warrnambool and District league coaches believe this is the strongest A grade competition in years.
What do you think?
It seems clever recruiting, maturing youngsters and strong leadership have been key to taking the league to another level.
Until next week, may the best team win.
Thanks,
