Coach Rhiannon Cuomo said McMahon tore her ACL in the Seagulls' match against Terang Mortlake last weekend.
She said it was a disappointing blow as the side was desperately trying to secure a finals berth with a win against Camperdown this weekend.
"She's had a good season - she's had to adapt after going into the attack end for us," Cuomo said.
"She's worked so hard throughout the year."
Cuomo said Laura Addinsall would step up from division one to the goal shooter position.
"Laura's had a couple of games with us earlier in the year," Cuomo said.
"I think she will fit in quite well."
Cuomo said she was impressed with the team's efforts against Terang Mortlake.
"We knew that these two weeks for vital for us and we had to get wins on the board. Saturday is quite crucial for us."
