An independent investigations officer will be appointed on Monday to look into an incident involving South Warrnambool ruckman Manny Sandow against Koroit at Victoria Park.
It is alleged at the seventh-minute of the final quarter Sandow kneed Saints midfielder Tom Couch resulting in injuries.
Sandow, who won the league best and fairest in 2017, has played 11 of the Roosters' 12 games this season.
Saints recruit Couch has played seven matches in his first season at the club.
Sandow will play in the Roosters' must-win match against Portland at Friendly Societies' Park on Saturday, while Couch will miss the Saints' top-three battle against Warrnambool at Reid Oval.
