"We're extremely happy," he said.
"He's been a great fit for our club and for our community."
Walsh, a first-year senior coach, has the Power on top of the ladder but it's his work with the juniors that has impressed O'Sullivan most.

"He's a great teacher of young kids as far as football goes," he said.
"He's very good at working with the young players.
"I think there were 12 or 14 players, 20 years or under, playing in the senior side one week."
The president said Walsh had also coached the under 12.5 team one Saturday morning.
Walsh, who re-signed on Thursday night, feels privileged to have the reins.
"I count myself pretty lucky to be coaching at a club like Kolora-Noorat with the amount of community support and the way the committee runs," he said.
"I've really enjoyed it this season."
The first-year mentor, who was an assistant in 2017-18, said it had been a priority to get local lads back to the club.
O'Sullivan said Walsh had been key to the club securing local talent.
Walsh, who is a physical education teacher at Warrnambool's Emmanuel College, said he decided to sign on for just one year because of his young family and managing travel.
Walsh, who has two sons, said the club was a great place for families.
His oldest, Leo, is two years old and George is five months.
His wife Sheree grew up at Noorat.
The Power, which have won 12 of 13 games this season, are the premiership favourites.
The club is in a strong position with the reserves team sitting second, the under 18 side in fourth and the under 15 team leading the table.
