A Warrnambool man has been remanded in custody after police found a stolen, loaded sawn-off double barrel shotgun under his bed.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Raven, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said investigators and divisional response tasking unit officers, raided a home in Warrnambool's Clifton Street mid morning.
"During the execution of that search warrant a fairly sophisticated hydroponic set-up was located, which involved seven cannabis plants about one metre high," he said.
"It had lights, fans and a water system and the plants looked very healthy. The plants were a couple of months off harvesting."
Mature plants are valued at about $2000 each.
Detective Sergeant Raven said a 20cm dagger was located as well as the loaded double barrel sawn-off shotgun under a bed.
"The two occupants of the home, a 28-year-old man and 32-year-old man, were arrested.
"The 32-year-old was interviewed and charged with drug offences. He has been released on bail."
The CIU chief said the 28-year-old was charged with a range of offences, including firearms charges.
The man appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court late on Tuesday.
Magistrate Mark Stratmann noted the man did not apply for bail and custody management issues included withdrawing from methamphetamine and cannabis, and requiring medical attention.
It's the second warrant in two days that detectives have executed which led to the location of an illegal firearm.

On Monday a pistol, magazine, ammunition and silencer was found at a Crossley property, which led a man being charged with firearm offences.
"We will continue to pursue offenders in relation to drug and firearm offences," Detective Sergeant Raven said.
"It is very pleasing to have a couple of illegal guns off the streets. The loaded shotgun was found under the bed of the accused offender," he said.
