The Hampden league reigning premiers traveled to Leura Oval to face a rampant Magpies outfit that, led by Emma Wright and Amanda Clark (21 goals), handed the Saints, now third, their second loss of the season.
O'Sullivan paid credit to Camperdown but said the blustery conditions meant very little that could be taken out of the game for future reference.
"We're fine with it," she said. "Losses at this time of year aren't so bad.
"I'm not going to look into it too much because there was sheets of rain coming down.
"It was the worst conditions I've seen this year and maybe even longer."
The Saints played without Belle Baker (unavailable) and lost Bridget Roache to a leg injury at half-time.
But O'Sullivan said the veteran star would return for Koroit's clash with South Warrnambool on July 13 after the league's bye.
"We're really looking forward to the bye weekend, because some of our young girls are getting tired and the teachers have time off," she said.
"We know after that loss we have to come out firing against South.
"But I'm trying to focus on our own game, because that's the only thing you can control and I want them to worry about us, rather than the other way around."
The Saints mentor said part of this fine-tuning would focus on her side's defensive centre passes.
She also hoped youngsters Lily Killey, who replaced the injured Rachel Dobson in the senior side, and Layla Monk, would be able to develop further as the season progressed.
But O'Sullivan said she wouldn't lose any sleep over the fact Koroit trailed Cobden and North Warrnambool Eagles on the HFNL ladder.
"We want to make sure we finish in the top three," she said.
"I don't think it's much of a benefit having that week off unless you've got injuries - we just want that double chance."
