This week's blue skies will end on Friday, the Bureau of Meteorology says, with a medium chance of showers in the evening.
A low pressure system will follow, bringing 15 to 20 millimetre of rain to Warrnambool on Saturday including a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon and even possible hail.
Temperatures are also expected to drop from Thursday's balmy maximum of 18, to a maximum of 16 on Saturday and 14 on Sunday while remaining cool next week.
The rain is expected to ease on Sunday, but also continue into next week and likely boost Warrnambool's average June rainfall above the average 77.6 millimetres, with 74.4 millimetres of rain so far this month.
