Leading Senior Constable Trudy Moreland said she was happy with the response from the public to the road safety campaign.
"We are really pleased with the turn out," she said.
"We have also had a few people come and have their child restraints check that have been loose, which is good as it is a really important factor for us."
South West Coast Auto's Steve Levett said the number of improperly fitted child restraints was a concern.
"We haven't seen one that was fitted correctly," he said.
"When child seats are incorrectly fitted they can become a weapon in a car accident if they shift to far sideways.
"It's been good to have an opportunity to help fit people's car seats right so they are safe going forward."
Warrnambool's Dylan Jewell brought three cars to have the number plate screws changed for the anti-theft screws.
"I don't want to have my plates flogged," he said.
"I have personalised plates that my father got me for my 21st birthday so I can't get them replaced."
Mr Jewell also took the opportunity to show his step daughter the work done by SES volunteers at an accident scene.
