The Blues smashed East Warrnambool to take a 30.22 (202) to 3.4 (22) round eight victory in the Warrnambool and District league.
Nirranda coach Shane Threlfall said his team had spent time working on its handballing at training.
"Our link up play with handball was terrific today," he said.
"Quick hands tend to open the game up.
"It creates times and space."
The Blues have switched their focus at training from fitness to skills in the past few weeks.

Nirranda's teamwork was solid but two players stood out around the goals.
Aaron Searle kicked eight majors, while Ben Threlfall booted seven goals.
Threlfall backed up his six-goal haul against Timboon Demons in round seven.
Coach Threlfall said Searle provided the Blues with "a really good option up forward".
"He's a good focus point for us," he said.
Searle and Ben Threlfall proved handy for Nirranda considering it was without its spearhead Gary Robinson.
The Blues mentor said Robinson was "a good chance to be available" for round nine against Allansford.
Ruckman Inoke Ratu is overseas and will miss the Cats clash.
It will be third versus fourth when Nirranda meets Allansford on Saturday.
Cody Richards, captain Sam Grinter and Kyle Ryan were among the best for the Bombers against the Blues.
East Warrnambool faces Kolora-Noorat in round nine.
