McLaren said the trio were classy additions.

"Tom and James (Gow) help with our midfield rotations and 'Northy' can go through there as well," he said.

"An area we've been down in is forward pressure so he's someone who will certainly lift us in that area."

Portland made three changes, bringing in Taylor Murrell, Jordan Withers and Harry McIntyre.

"They bring a bit of speed to our side," Tigers coach Tom Sharp said.

"We moved the ball slowly against South and they were able to set up well in defence and force us down the line."

Dylan Barr and Ben Malcolm are both injured while youngster Jai Langenberg was omitted.

Camperdown named an extended bench for its away clash against Port Fairy.
