The imposing Fraser took numerous marks in the dying stages of a 36-minute final quarter against the Blues to help his team take an 8.10 (58) to 8.8 (56) victory on Saturday.
Playing coach Ben Walsh said he was surprised to see Fraser in the back line in the final minutes of the encounter.
"I just turned around and he was there," Walsh said after the match.
Walsh said his assistants on the bench might have made the move.
"He (Fraser) took probably four or five marks when there were five or six (players) going up and that was crucial," he said.
The Power coach said Jason Moloney was another player who rolled back in the fourth quarter.
Kolora-Noorat is undefeated after five rounds of the Warrnambool and District league season and sits on top of the ladder.
Walsh said his side wouldn't be getting ahead of itself after beating the reigning premier.
"I think it gives you a bit of confidence but that's about all," he said.
"I don't think it means anything in terms of where teams are going to finish on the ladder.
"Obviously it's good to get one over them but it's early in the year."
Nirranda coach Shane Threlfall said he was proud of his team and the way it fought out the match.
"I reckon the Power's skills were probably a little bit cleaned than ours at times," he said.
"So if we can just keep working on our short kicks and our handballs out of stoppages we'll get better and better."
Threlfall said his side would learn from the final minutes of the encounter.
"They put big 'Frase' (Fraser) behind the ball and he took two of three telling marks," he said.
"In that scenario we need to lower our eyes or square-off to the fat side a bit.
"We probably boot-banged a bit and played into their hands and they set up really well behind the footy with Fraser."
The match of the round lived up to its hype at the Noorat Recreation Reserve.
The reigning premier took it up to the Power early with Blues forward Jesse Dalton kicking a long-range goal.
Kolora-Noorat mentor Walsh had plenty to think about with his side trailing at quarter-time.
The Power responded to their coach's instructions and surged in the second quarter.
But the Blues rallied and were down by just one-point at half-time.
The third quarter was a tight tussle with each team only scoring one goal each.
Ben Fraser converted from a free kick for the Power.
Rain fell and car horns could be heard as the teams traded goals in the fourth quarter.
Playing coach Walsh won a crucial contest at half-forward which led to a Power goal.
But then Blue Dylan Lees converted a long-range set shot and Nirranda was within four points.
Then came the match-winning move.
Fraser went into the back line and took numerous crucial marks.
Meanwhile, the Blues sprayed their chances for goal in the dying moments of the game.
