The 63-year-old was a larger than life character who knew how to make an entrance.
His wife Carol Brown said he was extremely generous and loved to surprise her.
"I'll miss his flowers," she said.
"He would buy me flowers and have them delivered to work."
Mrs Brown's workmates joked that he would love to make them jealous with the stunning arrangements he sent her.
One colleague said he was extremely generous, picking up his wife for lunch or sitting and talking with staff and the residents at Lyndoch.
Mr Brown's stepdaughter Shana Hilsdon said he had a great sense of humour and loved nothing more than spending time with his beloved grandkids.
"Every time they arrived he would have another surprise in their rooms," Mrs Hilsdon said.
"There would be toys or books on their beds - anything he saw and thought they would like."
Mr Brown was tragically killed in the early hours of Wednesday morning in a single vehicle accident in Woolsthorpe.
He will be sadly missed by everyone and leaves a gaping hole in the hearts of family members.
Mr Brown leaves behind three sons - Keith (deceased), Callum and Tyler, step-children Max, Rachel, Justin and Shana and grandchildren Leigh, Regan, Colin, Max, Riely and has another grandson on the way.
He was also poppy to step grandchildren Blayke, Jamie-lee, Terry, Emily, Tyla, Joshua, Zac, Charliee and great grandchildren Bonnie-may and Marcus.
Mrs Hilsdon said trucks were her step father's pride and joy and he always kept them immaculate.
"Everyone was arriving at our debutante ball in vintage cars and I got driven to mine in a brand new Kenworth," she laughed.
