Each year, Waterhouse visits Warrnambool's Riding Develops Abilities (RDA) branch and this carnival was no exception, meeting participants on Wednesday. "All of these little kids don't have the advantages of many of us," she said.
"By coming here and riding the horses they learn posture, they learn confidence, they have a feeling of self wellbeing. They just enjoy it.
"There should be much more support from the council and local government. The volunteers here work tirelessly with great love and care. It's very special. I feel privileged to be here today," she said.
