Detective Senior Constable Craig Wastell, of the Warrnambool police Crime Investigation Unit, said an investigation into a number of thefts from farms in the Corangamite region had led police to properties in Werneth near Cressy and Cape Clear.
"At the end of March and during April we had a number of thefts and thefts from motor vehicles in the Scotts Creek and Timboon areas," Detective Senior Constable Wastell said.
A number of items, including quad bikes, were recovered at the properties late last week.
Detective Senior Constable Wastell said a 21-year-old male and a 17-year-old male had been remanded in custody in relation to the thefts.
He said a number of goats stolen from a property had not been found.
"We're thankful to the members of the public who gave us the initial information that led to the property being recovered," Detective Senior Constable Wastell said.
