Kolora-Noorat, Dennington, Panmure and Timboon Demons will play their round three matches on Saturday as a prelude to round one.
It means they will enjoy a weekend's rest when Easter (April 19-22) does roll around.
All four senior football sides will unveil new coaches - Ben Walsh (Power), Mick Phillips (Dogs, pictured above), Chris Bant (Bulldogs) and Marcus Hickey (Demons).
This week we took a closer look at the WDFNL's netball and football teams (links below) and picked our top-30 footballers to watch.
We will do likewise with the Hampden league next week ahead of its first matches on April 6.
Each weekend we will keep you informed from the grounds with live coverage at standard.net.au and on our social media platforms.
