Detective Senior Constable Jess Johnston, of the Colac police crime investigation unit, said the brawl involved 10 to 15 men under the influence of alcohol about 3am Sunday in Murray Street.
She said the incident started after a nightclub closed, there was a push and shove which gathered momentum before developing into a brawl out the front of the Target store.
"Two men was injured as a result and both were transported by ambulance to a Geelong hospital before being later released. They suffered minor injuries," she said.
The detective said investigations were ongoing and police were seeking witnesses to what happened.
"We are requesting anyone with information contact the Colac police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," she said.
