GLOBAL Exchange raced into autumn feature race calculations in Sydney following an effortless win over 1800 metres at Caulfield on Saturday.

The Ciaron Maher-trained Global Exchange defeated Cossetot by more than two lengths with Aramayo back in third spot in the group two $200,000 Autumn Classic.
Maher, who trains in partnership with David Eustace paid $130,000 for Global Exchange at the New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale said the three-year-old may now be aimed towards the $2 million Australian Derby at Randwick on April 6.
“We’ve always had a good opinion of Global Exchange,” he said.
“We’ve known he will keep on improving once he gets out over more ground.
"The Australia Derby over 2400 metres looks the ideal race for him in the autumn.
"He’s a very talented colt but he’s still learning what racing is all about.
"We’ll sort out a program for Global Exchange which may consist of two to three runs to have him ready for the Derby on April 6.”
The Maher-Eustace stable had numerous other runners on the nine race program including Loving Gaby who had no luck in the $1.5 Blue Diamond Stakes.
Fellow Warrnambool trainers Simon Ryan, Daniel Bowman and Jarrod McLean had mixed days with their respective runners.
Tarquin ran fourth for Ryan and Magnapal finished in ninth place in the same race while Trap For Fools ran second for McLean in the Peter Young Stakes.
