The day, which was split into two twenty20 matches, started on a good note with a three-wicket victory over their Metro counterparts.
Illingworth, 13, finished with one run in the chase, while Green, 14, (zero not out) was in the middle for the winning runs.
The second match against NSW Metro was less successful team wise for the pair.
Country finished their innings with the south-west pair unbeaten on seven (Illingworth) and three (Green) out in the middle.
But the total turned out to be to small as NSW claimed a seven-wicket victory.
Illingworth and Green are back in action against South Australia and Tasmania on Sunday.
