The winners are off to the state championship week, which will be held in Bendigo in late April.
The men’s singles was won by West Coast’s Les Johnson, who defeated Rhys Jeffs of Corangamite 25 shots to 22.
The men’s fours was a tight affair, with the Corangamite team from Apollo Bay defeating the Far Western side from Portland RSL, 13-12.
In the women’s fours, Corangamite’s side skipped by Carol Watson and consisting of Leona Pekin, Barbara Dillon and Glenda Loury defeated the team from West Coast (Gil Vorwerk, Maree Dalton, Rachael Savery and Marita Dalton) by 17 shots to 12.
PENNANT
The top four is set in Division 1, with only the point of interest being who will finish on top – Warrnambool Gold or City Gold. Warrnambool is two points clear but has a tough road trip, taking on fourth-placed Terang.
This week’s Saturday pennant action will get under way early, with two games on Friday night.
They will be held at Warrnambool Bowls Club, starting at 6pm.
In Division 1, Warrnambool Gold and Blue will go head to head.
The Blues need a win in order to remain in finals contention.
Warrnambool White and Red will fight it out in Division 2.
Both teams are sitting eight points out of the final four. The final home and away games will be played in Midweek Pennant on Tuesday.
